History
The name “Saptasajya” is derived from two Sanskrit words: Sapta meaning seven and Sajya meaning beds. According to local legends, the place got its name because the Pandavas from the Mahabharata stayed here during their exile. Another belief says that Lord Rama spent some time here during his forest life (vanavasa).
There is also a temple dedicated to Lord Rama at the top of the hill, believed to have been built centuries ago. Many devotees visit this temple during special occasions like Ram Navami.
